Recorded during ‘Tony Martin Reads Stuff Out’ at Melbourne’s Bella Union in 2011, this Bandcamp exclusive features a live reading of ‘The Story Bridge’ from the 2009 book, ‘A Nest of Occasionals’.

A true account of a young nerd’s migration from New Zealand to Brisbane in the mid-eighties, his attempt to watch every movie released in the then new and exciting ‘video shops’, and a disastrous appearance at a Gold Coast awards night that would indirectly change the course of his life.

This is preceded by some brief remarks about the author’s home town, and followed by a recitation of some fake ‘angry letters’ to his now-defunct website.
